Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that uses collagen production to treat skin concerns. It can help those looking to reduce the appearance of stretch marks, deep wrinkles, and acne scars. The procedure is not safe for pregnant women, or those who use certain acne medications. How does it work? The treatment involves your medical professional making small pricks under the skin with a tiny needle. These pricks are only surface level deep and are non-invasive. This procedure encourages your skin to create more collagen. This creates new skin tissue, creating smoother, firmer, more toned skin. It is a very natural procedure.

Microneedling is not just for your face. It can be done all over your body. After treatment, it is recommended to be gentle with your skin for a while. If the sound of needling is bothersome, don’t worry, a topical anesthetic is applied to your skin to reduce chances of pain before treatment. A facial can be added to be applied after the treatment.

Adjustable needle lengths will allow for customized treatments ranging from skin freshening to deep scar repair anywhere on your body. How Does the PRP Facial Work? The PRP Facial is performed in two stages:

-PRP Collection and Separation

-Microneedling with PRP

During the first stage, our staff will draw a small amount of blood (about 2 tablespoons). PRP is extracted and separated via a centrifuge. This is all done in the clinic. Some call PRP “liquid gold” not only for its appearance, but by its growth and healing capabilities.

During the second stage, the PRP is gently applied on the face. This is followed by a microneedling device which creates minute puncture wounds in the skin. This process promotes collagen production, while making it possible for the PRP to sink deeper into your skin to ensure optimal growth.
